About Nogramix
Nogramix is an independent Nonogram game for the browser. It exists because most picture logic puzzle sites treat the puzzle as a grid on a page — and the puzzles deserve a place to be solved in.
What we are building
A journey through painted seasonal worlds, each holding chapters of hand-designed Nonograms. The board is a physical object in a scene rather than a table in a layout, and finishing a puzzle reveals a picture that belongs to the world you found it in.
The rules we hold ourselves to
- Every puzzle is solvable by logic. Each board is verified to have exactly one solution reachable without guessing. If a puzzle cannot be proven, it does not ship.
- No pressure mechanics. The timer is information, not a threat. There are no streaks to lose, no lives, no countdown between you and the picture.
- No account wall. You can play as a guest immediately. Linking an account is for syncing across devices, not for unlocking the game.
- Progress belongs to you. Saves live on your device first and merge safely if you later sign in. The game works offline once loaded.
- Free to start. Spring Forest is fully playable at no cost.
How it is made
Nogramix is a web application built with Next.js and React, sharing one puzzle engine, solver and progression system across every surface. Puzzles are authored as data and checked by the same solver the game uses, so the guarantee above is mechanical rather than a promise. The artwork is painted for each world and animated in layers instead of being replaced by generated shapes.
Where it is going
Spring Forest is open. Cherry Shrine, Crystal Caverns, Coral Ocean, Volcanic Forge and Mechanical City are in production and will open as their chapters are finished — you can see the full list on the worlds page. Mobile applications are planned on the same engine, journey and rules.
