Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what Nogramix stores when you play, what happens if you later create an account, and how to reach us. It describes the current application — not features we might add later.
Effective date: 7 September 2026
1. Who we are
Nogramix is an independent browser game. For privacy questions, use the contact details in Contact or email carvomorocco@gmail.com.
2. Summary
- You can play as a guest. Puzzle progress and preferences stay in your browser unless you choose to use an account when account services are available.
- We do not run third-party advertising or analytics scripts in the app as shipped today.
- Optional email / Google sign-in and cloud progress sync exist in the product, but only work when a deployment has account services configured. Until then, those features show as unavailable and no account is created.
3. Information stored when you play as a guest
Guest play does not require your name or email. The game stores data locally in your browser (via web storage), including:
- Progress — which puzzles you have completed, unlocks, tutorial state and related journey data needed to continue where you left off on that device.
- Preferences — for example sound / mute settings, theme and motion choices, and similar UI settings.
- Local session markers — so the app knows you are playing as a guest and can remember choices such as dismissing a save-progress invitation.
This data stays on your device. Clearing site data for Nogramix, using another browser or device, or private browsing will typically remove or isolate it. We cannot restore guest progress from our servers if it only ever lived in your browser.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
- Locale preference — a cookie (or equivalent) may remember the language you chose so page loads stay in that locale.
- Account session cookies — only when you sign in and account services are active. They keep you logged in securely. Guests do not need them to play.
- Installable / offline shell — the app may register a service worker that caches application assets so previously loaded pages and play can work with a weak or offline connection. That cache is for the app itself, not for advertising profiles.
5. Optional accounts and cloud progress
When account services are enabled for a deployment, you may create an account with email and password or sign in with Google. In that case we (and our authentication provider) may process:
- Email address and authentication credentials or OAuth tokens needed to sign you in.
- Account identifiers and synced progress (puzzle completion, achievements, gallery items, settings and related profile fields the game persists to the cloud).
- Messages you send us (for example support email), including whatever you choose to include.
If you upgrade from a guest session, local progress may be merged into the account so you do not lose what you already solved on that device.
Current status: account and cloud sync only operate when the deployment’s backend is configured. If Sign Up or Log In reports that account services are not active, those features are not collecting account data — guest local storage still applies.
6. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Run the game, save your progress and preferences, and restore them on return visits.
- Provide optional sign-in and cross-device sync when those services are available.
- Respond to messages you send via the contact address.
- Keep the service secure and diagnose technical problems you report.
We do not sell your personal information.
7. Sharing
We do not share personal information with third parties for their advertising. When account services are enabled, authentication and database hosting may be provided by infrastructure vendors (for example Supabase; Google if you choose Google sign-in). Those vendors process data on our behalf to provide those features, under their own terms and privacy policies.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety or integrity of the service or its users.
8. Retention
- Guest / local data — retained in your browser until you clear it or the browser removes it.
- Account / cloud data — retained while the account exists and as needed to provide sync, then deleted or anonymised when you request deletion (subject to legal retention needs) once account services are operating.
9. Security
We use industry-standard transport security (HTTPS) and, for accounts, provider-backed auth practices. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure; please use a unique password if you create an email account.
10. Children
Nogramix is a general-audience puzzle game. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 for accounts. If you believe a child has provided personal data through an account feature, contact us and we will delete it when account systems are available to do so.
11. Your choices
- Clear site data in your browser to remove guest progress and local preferences.
- Decline or dismiss optional account prompts; guest play continues.
- When accounts are available, you may request access, correction or deletion of account data by contacting us.
- You can stop using the service at any time.
12. International visitors
Nogramix may be hosted and accessed from more than one country. If you use account features, your data may be processed in the regions used by our hosting and auth providers.
13. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top will be revised when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
